What Makes Penn State Great Valley the Right Choice for You

One University, One Degree

A degree earned at Penn State Great Valley is the same degree awarded to all graduates of The Pennsylvania State University. We are one university and our diplomas read “The Pennsylvania State University”.

Our programs are also accredited through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Many of our individual programs have additional accreditations through governing bodies in those particular fields of study.

Career-Enhancing Programs

Penn State was ranked the No. 1 institution in the nation for producing the most-prepared and well-rounded graduates who are most able to succeed once hired, according to a survey by The Wall Street Journal.

No matter what the program, students will find:

  • a career-focused curriculum built on the latest industry trends
  • courses taught by highly respected faculty members, experts in their fields
  • an engaged and diverse network of peers.

The Campus Community

The student population is diverse and made up of full-time and part-time working adults. This prepares students for multicultural teamwork in the global marketplace. In addition students are able to build relationships with local companies for internships and job opportunities after graduation. The campus is surrounded by leading high-tech and Fortune 500 companies in the financial, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and research and development industries.

With our student to faculty ratio of 13:1, students develop personal relationships with accomplished, well-respected, and connected professors.

Convenient Location

Off campus housing opportunities makes it convenient and affordable to live close to campus and Philadelphia. Students are only a 2 hour train or car ride from the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., and a 1 ½ hour train or car ride from New York City. They are also surrounded by a variety of cultural attractions in the greater Philadelphia area.
