When you want to venture out a little bit further from campus, the rest of Chester County and the Greater Philadelphia region offers a plethora of options. You can head over to the Valley Forge National Historical Park to learn more about the role the location played in the American Revolutionary War and for more than 45 kilometers of hiking and biking trails. There are plenty of other outdoor activities, including Evansburg State Park, French Creek State Park, Longwood Gardens, and Ridley Creek State Park.
If you’d prefer to stay indoors and get some shopping done, the King of Prussia Mall, which has more than 450 stores, is one of the largest and most iconic malls in the United States. The Exton Square Mall is smaller, but still offers plenty of stores and dining options.
The nearby Borough of West Chester has a variety of restaurants, shops, parks, and more for days you feel like wandering around a town.
If you like sports but don’t want to travel to the city for a game, Philadelphia’s association football (soccer) team, the Philadelphia Union, plays its games in Chester, approximately 35 kilometers from our campus.
