Alumnus Brandon Noble to be keynote speaker at Great Valley golf outing

MALVERN, Pa. — Penn State Great Valley will host its ninth annual golf outing to support campus programs on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the Applecross Country Club in Downingtown. This year’s outing will support the Great Valley LaunchBox powered by Penn State, which encourages community members, students and faculty to generate innovative and commercially viable solutions to existing and emerging business and social needs.

Penn State alumnus and former NFL defensive tackle Brandon Noble will join participants on the greens during the day. As the event’s keynote speaker, Noble will discuss his time at Penn State, community involvement, and more.

Penn State alumnus and former NFL defensive tackle Brandon Noble will join the Great Valley community for a day on the greens as the keynote speaker at the ninth annual golf outing.

Noble played for the Nittany Lions in the 90s, leading the team in sacks and earning All-Big Ten Second Team honors in 1996, and went on to play in the NFL from 1999 to 2004. He currently owns a restaurant/catering company that operates Bright Spot Cafe in Newtown Square, Penn., and Shoobie's by Bright Spot in Sea Isle, N.J. He is also a partner at Blue White Media, which produces the Obligatory PSU Pregame show, and the Obligatory PSU Podcast. In his free time, he serves as the defensive coordinator for Downingtown East high school’s football team.

He has been married to fellow Penn State class of 1998 member Mary Kate Noble for 20 years. They have three children: Connor, a sophomore tight end/fullback at Temple; Grace, who will be swimming at Bryant University this fall; and Jackson, a sophomore at Downingtown East.
