Students interested in working with artificial intelligence are invited to attend the Nittany AI Challenge Celebration Event from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 10 in Heritage Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center at University Park. Students can register to network with AI professionals, enjoy a free meal, get inspired to create teams for the 2020 challenge, and see which projects from the 2019 challenge have been awarded additional development funding.

Faculty who bring real-world experience and research to the classroom are invaluable to students’ growth and learning. Two such faculty members joined Penn State Great Valley’s management division this semester: Yong O. Kim, assistant teaching professor of finance, and Yuan Shi, assistant professor of accounting.
The Complex Adaptive Systems Conference, to be held Nov. 13-15 at Penn State Great Valley, will bring together researchers from academia, industry, and government to discuss applications of computational intelligence and machine learning methods to address challenges in cyber physical systems and sociotechnical systems.
