The Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering requires 36 credits – 6 core courses, 5 elective courses, and one capstone course. All of the core courses, except for SWENG 886, are offered fully online. The remaining courses in the program are offered in a hybrid format.
To take online classes, you must get approval from your academic advisor before requesting enrollment through [email protected]. *Because 15 of the 18 core credits are delivered fully online, international students on a J-1 or F-1 visa are not eligible to enroll in this program.
Courses are listed below, with course descriptions available via links to the University Bulletin. Please refer to the prerequisites mentioned on this page as those listed on the University Bulletin may differ from Penn State Great Valley. All courses offered are three credits unless otherwise indicated.
You must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B) throughout the program. A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to graduate.
Penn State’s Schedule of Courses lists course availability. General questions should be sent to [email protected]. Contact your assigned faculty advisor for advice on course selection.
