Master of Artificial Intelligence

Want to be at the true cutting-edge of technology? Penn State Great Valley’s highly ranked Master of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will help you gain the skills and knowledge needed to develop intelligent systems and explore uncharted territory in artificial intelligence. 
 
In this STEM-designated program, students will gain mastery of the three types of machine learning algorithms used to evaluate data: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Students will also explore natural language processing, the area of study concerning how machines comprehend and synthesize speech and text; and gain an understanding of machine vision, which is how computers can perceive their visual environment and perform automatic inspections and analyses.
 
GMAT/GRE scores are not required for admission to this program.

Curriculum

The 33-credit program provides a professional, technical education in developing and deploying AI and machine learning. This program is challenging and interactive, and was designed to be delivered through a collaborative learning experience with expert faculty and motivated peers. 

Flexibility & Delivery

The Master of Artificial Intelligence features two delivery options: hybrid delivery or fully online. 

Hybrid 

Hybrid delivery combines flexibility with the advantages of in-person instruction on our state-of-the-art campus. Courses are delivered in convenient, seven-week sessions via an in-person/online hybrid format. Many of these courses meet once a week in person and once a week online. Some courses may be delivered fully online.

Hybrid courses meet requirements for international students studying on an F-1 or J-1 visa.

Stackable Credentials

Demonstrate your new skills prior to earning your master’s degree through our stackable Graduate Certificates. You can earn the following certificates within the curriculum of the Master of Artificial Intelligence degree:

Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
A 12-credit certificate covering AI disciplines, focusing on modeling, designing, developing, and testing data-centric AI systems.

Natural Language Processing
A 9-credit graduate certificate on the interaction between computers and human language.

Computer Vision
A 9-credit certificate on designing and applying machine-vision systems to interpret visual information and make decisions. 

Certificate earners are awarded a digital badge for each certificate they complete.
