Students interested in enrolling in online World Campus classes in the summer 2025 semester should discuss course options with their faculty advisor. With advisor approval, Great Valley students may request enrollment in online classes via [email protected].

Courses for the Master of Artificial Intelligence program are linked below to the University Bulletin. Please refer to the prerequisites mentioned on this page as those listed on the University Bulletin may differ from Penn State Great Valley. All courses offered are three credits unless otherwise indicated.

A-I 801 - Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
(Recommended for first semester)

STAT 500 - Applied Statistics 
(Recommended for first semester)

DAAN 862 - Analytics Programming in Python
(Recommended to be one of first courses taken)

A-I 570 - Deep Learning (formerly DAAN 570)
Prerequisite: STAT 500
Recommended Prerequisite: DAAN 862

A-I 574 - Natural Language Processing
Prerequisite: A-I 570 

A-I 804 - Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

A-I 879 - Machine Vision

Students must successfully complete the SARI (Scholarship and Research Integrity) requirement of the Penn State degree in order to graduate.

INSC 521 - Database Design Concepts

Required Capstone Course (3 credits)

A-I 894 - Research Topic
Prerequisites: STAT 500, DAAN 862, A-I 801, A-I 804, A-I 879, A-I 570 and A-I 574. Available in fall semester only. 

GPA Requirements

Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B) throughout the program. A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to graduate.
