Master of Engineering Management students at Penn State Great Valley recently collaborated with local companies as part of a capstone project to incorporate a variety of modeling and analysis tools. The partnership was rewarding for both the organizations and students.
After discovering Great Valley's GMAT exam preparation course via an online search, Erica del Gallego applied for a student visa, flew to Philadelphia from Colombia, and enrolled in the course to improve her test scores.
When Cathy Ditterline and Jo Baitinger started at Penn State Great Valley, the campus was located in a former elementary school and course registrations were filled out by hand. The two will retire in December after more than 30 years at Penn State.

Leo Daiuto joins Penn State Great Valley as the campus' entrepreneur-in-residence. With an background in computer science, Daiuto has started two technology-based businesses and will help the campus grow the REV-UP Center for Entrepreneurship.

Before the football game on Nov. 5, Penn State Great Valley students Carolina Aceto and Tahseen Firoz walked onto the field at Beaver Stadium to be recognized for their service in the Marine Corps. Donning Military Appreciation Day T-shirts, they joined Penn State veterans from all branches of the United States military in holding a giant American flag across the end zone as the opening bars of the national anthem rang out.
