Penn State invests $876K in sustainability projects through Reinvention Fund

Through the Reinvention Fund, the Sustainability Institute’s internal grant program, Penn State has invested more than $875,000 in collaborative projects intended to improve and expand sustainability efforts across the institution. Faculty/staff teams have received $773,485, and an additional $102,884 was dedicated to support proposals submitted by student teams.

Penn State’s online MBA program to award merit-based scholarships

The job prospects for MBA graduates continue to look up, according to the Graduate Management Admission Council, which reports 90 percent of 2013 MBA graduates are employed. To make it easier for working adults to earn an MBA for career advancement, Penn State’s online Intercollege MBA (iMBA) program is launching merit-based scholarships.

Networking and Security Research Center undergoes name change to reflect growth

The College of Engineering's Networking and Security Research Center is now the Institute of Networking and Security Research. Thomas La Porta, the Leonhard Chair Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and director of the new institute, said the name change and elevation of title are meant to accurately reflect the organization's growth and success since its inception in 2003.
