Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) Certification

Scrum Alliance logo

This two-day certification program will allow participants to receive their Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) Certification. Organizations, developers, and executives have recognized Scrum as the most successful agile development framework. Its growing popularity can be attributed to its ability to boost ROI for businesses and align the goals of developers, businesses, sponsors, and executives.

Scrum can increase team productivity and innovation, as well as produce the major components of an application in a fraction of the time that it would take using traditional methods, reducing waste and improving efficiency.

Schedule

BUSAD 5593: two-day course, 16 hours (1.6 CEUs, 16 SEUs, 16 PDUs)
Dates: Coming in Spring 2023
Cost: $1,095

Overview

This hands-on, online workshop is designed for anyone new to agile ways of working. This course includes multiple simulations, real-life scenarios, exercises, group discussions, and role plays.

The use of Scrum goes far beyond the software industry where it has its roots. Since Scrum is applicable across industries and teams, marketers, data scientists, human resource employees, and anyone seeking to solve complex problems can benefit from Scrum.

The course covers a variety of topics, including Scrum theory; Scrum roles; Scrum events; sprint and increment; Scrum artifacts; the Scrum master core competencies of facilitation, teaching, mentoring, and coaching; Scrum master service to developers, product owners, and organizations; and more.

Penn State Great Valley is a ScrumAlliance® Registered Education Ally. We are committed to providing professional training that adheres to the principles of Scrum Alliance, while maintaining the academic integrity of Penn State. Upon completing our program, you will take the CSM® Exam online—our course registration cost includes exam fees and a two-year Scrum Alliance® membership. Once you pass the test, you will be a Certified ScrumMaster® and will maintain your certification for two years. The CSM® Test Outline addresses everything included in the exam.

As the premier local university for CSM® Certification, we offer students enrolling in this program 1.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and 16 Scrum Educational Units (SEUs); certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs) are eligible to receive 16 PDUs.
