Lean Agile Fundamentals

Overview

This one-day course gives an in-depth introduction on how to apply lean thinking to software development processes. With an emphasis on practical application of concepts, this class includes several hands-on exercises that lead participants through the steps of how to set up, operate, and continuously improve a Lean-Kanban system. Kanban key practices such as eliminating waste, work visualization, limiting work in process, managing flow, gathering and use of metrics for improvement, and scaling Kanban to the enterprise are explored in detail and reinforced with hands-on exercises.

Prerequisite(s) include completion of the Penn State Great Valley’s Agile Business Analysis course or a working knowledge of Agile principles and practices.

Continuing Education Units

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded based on a standard of one unit per ten (10) hours of classroom contact.
