Penn State's Institute for CyberScience has awarded $367,632 in seed funding for projects designed to use machine learning and artificial intelligence to assist the public good. The grants support projects in 20 different departments and units, 10 colleges and three institutes.
Penn State's Institute for CyberScience awarded $367,632.20 in seed grant funds to fund back projects that promote uses of and research into machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
After receiving her diploma from Chancellor Kristin Woolever, Penn State Brandywine biology graduate Maddie Malfara took a moment to thank family, friends and faculty members for their support. In addition to being a member of the campus' softball team, Malfara was a Schreyer Honors Scholar who conducted research alongside Assistant Professor of Biology Megan Povelones.
