Six Penn State Great Valley students presented four research projects at the 2025 Graduate Exhibition, hosted by the Fox Graduate School. This event offered the students a professional development experience with opportunities to network and practice their communication skills as they explained their projects, the methods they used and the impact of their work in areas ranging from geographically targeted opioid interventions to affordable cybersecurity practices for nonprofit organizations.

His graduate studies and Six Sigma certification helped him give a detailed answer and land the job, where he now works to optimize operations and drive major savings for his company.

Joanna DeFranco, associate professor of software engineering and associate director of Penn State World Campus’ Doctor of Engineering program, is working with researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology to develop the Secure Federated Data Sharing system, which allows secure data access where the data resides, rather than exchanging or being centrally stored.
Aditya Mathkar isn’t afraid to admit he wasn’t always the best student during his undergraduate years, he said. But his graduate education and new role as an alliance lead at iLink Digital are a much different story, a success he credits to the environment at Penn State Great Valley.
