This course provides students with an overview of the role of operations in an organization, the kinds of decisions operations and supply chain managers make, and the impact of these decisions on the strategic and tactical position of a firm. Supply chain management is a particular focus in the course. The interaction of production, distribution and information resources plays a critical role in developing and sustaining a firm's competitive advantage.
