Biography
Trisha Campanaro earned her Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from Penn State Harrisburg and her M.S. in Engineering Management from Rowan University. Her research interests include engineering systems, experimental design, acoustics and vibration, computational fluid dynamics, and machine learning, with an emphasis on applying data-driven and computational approaches to improve engineering systems and products. Her doctoral research focused on sound perception and noise reduction in air blowers using computational fluid dynamics and machine learning. She has also led industry-sponsored student research focused on product improvement through experimental design and vibration analysis.
Dr. Campanaro’s teaching focuses on engineering management, engineering systems, and practice-oriented engineering courses. Drawing on more than five years of experience spanning academic research and industry leadership, she is particularly interested in developing innovative approaches to engineering education that connect theory with real-world applications. Her teaching incorporates lean methodology, project management, decision analytics, and industry-based problem solving to help students develop the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in engineering careers.
