Biography
Judy Qiu received her Ph.D. in finance from the University of Queensland Business School in Australia. She holds two postgraduate degrees: a Master's of Banking and Finance and a Master's of Professional Accounting, both from from Griffith University in Australia. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience, including positions at Ithaca College, the University of Western Australia, and the University of Queensland. She also held positions as a visiting professor at NYU Stern Business School and Konstanz University in Germany. Dr. Qiu teaches courses covering areas of corporate finance, risk management and derivatives, financial market and institutions, investment analysis and portfolio management, international investment and finance, international business and financial planning, business accounting principles, and financial accounting. Her research interests focus on mutual fund and hedge fund performance, asset pricing, corporate finance and applied financial econometrics. She has published in international refereed journals such as Entropy, PLOS One, and Australian Journal of Management.
