The fall 2024 cohort of the Penn State Emerging Academic Leaders program have successfully completed their semester-long professional development experience.
The Penn State Emeritus Academy has announced the induction of seven esteemed emeritus faculty members as Academy Professors for Spring 2025. These distinguished scholars have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to the University in teaching, research, and service.
Margo DelliCarpini, Penn State vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor, will be leaving the University effective June 30 to take on a new position as the provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at the College of New Jersey.
Penn State Great Valley will host a community screening of "Backyard Wilderness," a film about the unexpected wonders of nature and wildlife in suburban backyards, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in Musser Auditorium. A panel discussion on the importance of native plants in maintaining watershed health, building climate resilience, and creating habitat for birds and other wildlife will follow the film.
Students designed new trail markers and educational signs for Thompson Woods Preserve to help visitors enjoy nature and navigate expansive trails. This is one example of data visualization projects that will be showcased during the exhibit.
