Joe and Marilyn Henry recently committed $50,000 to permanently endow a part-time graduate scholarship at Penn State Great Valley. The gift will support the campus’ efforts in A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence, the University’s current fundraising campaign.
William A. Clark has been named associate dean of the Graduate School at Penn State. A Penn State alumnus, Clark most recently spent 26 years on the faculty at Louisiana State University as professor and chair of the department of political science.
Penn State is moving toward a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2018-19 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) will begin collecting student health insurance information in May 2017.
With Penn State’s recent announcement of the next six communities to receive seed-grant funding through its Invent Penn State initiative, the University’s economic development effort has grown to include 13 hubs for innovation spread across Pennsylvania.
Through the Reinvention Fund, the Sustainability Institute’s internal grant program, Penn State has invested more than $875,000 in collaborative projects intended to improve and expand sustainability efforts across the institution. Faculty/staff teams have received $773,485, and an additional $102,884 was dedicated to support proposals submitted by student teams.
