The AXIS Center for Artificial Intelligence Excellence, Impact, and Social Good is a strategic innovation hub at Penn State Great Valley serving the Greater Philadelphia region, where cutting-edge research and teaching meet practical applications. 

Our mission is to accelerate regional innovation by connecting Penn State Great Valley’s faculty expertise and graduate student talent with area businesses and not-for-profit organizations to solve complex challenges through AI-driven strategy, ethical AI integration, and socially conscious business practices. 

The AXIS Center connects area corporations and community organizations to Great Valley's faculty expertise and student talent in business strategies and AI. Our expertise can empower organizations and drive profitability while promoting ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible outcomes.

  • Networking: The Center provides a platform where Penn State Great Valley and the business community can interact.
  • Industry partnership: The Center establishes partnerships with area businesses, startups, and community organizations, solicits managerial and operational challenges, and transform them into course and research projects that our faculty and students help tackle. 
  • Social good incubator: The Center provides pro-bono consulting local and regional for small businesses, non-profits, and social enterprises, utilizing data analytics to maximize their community impact. 
  • Curriculum integration: The Center hosts discussions on integrating AI into our existing graduate business programs and develops initiatives to update and innovate our curricula.
