'Still Creating: The UArts Community Lives On' art exhibit opening reception

Penn State Great Valley will host an opening reception at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, in the Henry Art Gallery for the juried exhibit "Still Creating: The UArts Community Lives On."

In the wake of the unexpected closure of the University of the Arts (UArts) in 2024, the creative community was left with a deep sense of loss. This "Still Creating" exhibit emerges from a shared belief that art can preserve memory, honor resilience and reconnect people across time and place.

Featuring work by former UArts students, faculty, staff and alumni, this juried exhibition invites the community to witness the enduring spirit of UArts through the voices and visions of its artists. The Henry Art Gallery aims to create a space where that spirit can continue to be seen, heard and celebrated.
