Fundamentals of Leadership Graduate Certificate

Enrolling for Fall 2022

The Fundamentals of Leadership graduate certificate prepares you to craft the building blocks of leadership. The program covers character strength-based leadership development; full range leadership development; and the effectiveness of authentic, ethical, and creative leadership. You'll finish the certificate ready to become a transformational leader who cultivates human sustainability and flourishing organizations.

Courses are offered in convenient, seven-week sessions, which are available in several delivery modes: in-person, hybrid, or online. They may be taken as a stand-alone certificate, as an initial step toward, or concurrently with our Master of Leadership Development or Master of Business Administration.

Learning Goals

Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:

  1. Build effective communication and creativity skills to become an authentic transformational leader.
  2. Build your personal leadership competencies through a development plan incorporating your strengths, weaknesses, and feedback from others.
  3. Foster a commitment to high-integrity practices by evaluating and analyzing ethical decision making.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold either (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or (2) a tertiary (post-secondary) degree that is deemed comparable to a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. International applicants may be required to satisfy an English proficiency requirement.
