Admission Scholarship

The Admission Scholarship is a merit-based award offered to highly qualified admission applicants who plan to pursue a graduate program beginning fall 2017 on a part-time basis taking 6 credits per semester.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants offered admission for fall 2017 to a campus-based graduate degree program will be automatically considered for the Admission Scholarship. Awards are competitive, requiring excellent academic performance in undergraduate and/or previous graduate work and future academic promise, as based on information submitted in support of an applicant’s admission application (including undergraduate and graduate transcripts, previous work experience, and standardized test scores, if applicable).

Terms of the Award

The scholarship will be in the amount of $2,500 or $5,000. Scholarship funds will be applied to tuition and fees for the 2017–18 academic year. Awarded over two semesters, disbursement of funds will be conditional on the student maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25/4.0 or better in a graduate program and completing a course load of 6 credits in each semester of the award.

To Receive Consideration

Individuals who wish to be considered for this merit scholarship must submit an online admission application along with all required application documents/credentials no later than June 1, 2017. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis to eligible applicants who are offered admission. Prospective students are encourage to apply for admission early, as awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

This award is designed to support first-time, newly enrolling graduate students beginning in the fall semester who enroll in at least 6 credits. The scholarship is offered at the time of admission to Penn State Great Valley. Applicants are not required to submit a Campus Scholarship Application or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
